Arriving/Collection
Please arrive and collect on time for each session. This allows us to complete all our tasks at the end and start of each session. We will open the doors at 9.15am prompt ready for registration.
Key Person
Your child will be assigned a key person during their time at Sunflower Seed. We will let you know who your child’s key person is, however, please feel free to talk to any member of staff about you’re your child’s progress and well-being.
Tapestry
Your child has their own secure online ‘Learning Journey’ which is an on-going record of their achievements. These observations consist of photographs, videos and examples of work. You will be able to access these through the secure Tapestry website and app. A consent form to set Tapestry up is in your starter pack.
Clothing
We encourage all the children to be independent from the start, wearing clothes that are comfortable and easily managed with help. Velcro fastenings on shoes/trainers, joggers and leggings that pull down without the need for unfastening buttons/zips all help with them being independent in the bathroom.
Some of the activities can become quite messy and although we do provide aprons, accidents do still happen. We advise a complete change of clothing is in your child’s bag in case they get wet during water play or other accidents happen.
Sun hats/ wooly hats, gloves and scarves to be available when relevant.
Lunch
A nutritious hot lunch is provided if you are attending over the lunch time session. Sample menus available on request. All dietary requirements catered for.
